I am planning to buy a Z10 soon.Before that i need to know whether Z10 supports system wide proxy . The institute where i am studying routes all the traffic through a proxy. Android does not support system wide proxy . That means anyone who wants to use whatsapp with an android in my institute has to use a VPN even though he has set proxy details in his connection settings.Symbian supports it .Meaning - All symbian phone can use whatsapp if the proxy details are set in connection details.My question is whether BB10 supports system wide proxy ?i e if i set proxy details in connection settings , does the OS route all the traffic through it (even the traffic from the apps) and not only the browser traffic (like android does).Does anyone here have any experience in using an apps (not necessarily whatsapp) in BB10 thorugh proxy ?

Thanks for the answer . The reason why i am worried is android also has the same setting . But only the browser traffic gets routed through the proxy . No application traffic goes through the proxy . Does anybody here have experience in using an app through proxy in BB10?

Goto wifi settings, select company or school wifi network, enter password select advanced settings and enter proxy server, port, username and password and you good to go. Only having trouble connecting whatsapp but BBM, etc. works.

Yes, BBM works but Whatsapp doesnt support proxy servers, I am connected to my company proxy server
