    Yes it appears to be the case for me also. Remote search is Live only.

    It has lots of handy feature including Advance Search (Search in all emails since beginning of time!), Quick Event, and gives you quick access to 5 Gmail accounts, Google Apps, Yahoo and Hotmail/Outlook.

    Probably only for accounts using exchange active sync protocol.

    Which as far as free Web mail goes is limited to Microsoft email services.
