    Consider following case:
    1. Encrypting phone and SD card
    2. Making full backup of phone without SD card with a help of Blackberry link
    3. Performing security wipe of the phone data only, leaving SD card untouched
    4. Restoring phone data from backup file

Question: will the data on SD card be accessible after steps described above? In other word does backup save and restore encryption key?

    Thanks.

The SDCARD should be readable, but if you are going to do all that you should invest the time in backing up the card too.

Why are you going to wipe, only to restore again on the same phone?

    I wouldn't risk it.

Decrypt/back up the card if you're going to wipe it.
