When I was watching bb 10 review videos, I thought I would be using the flicking a lot, but now that I actually picked up a Z10 and used the touch keyboard.

I rarely ever use the keyboard flicking and my typing is the fastest when I just use the auto correct and type normally.

Is this the case for other people as well?

In my hands both are used. Flicking is good at times, but not all the time. Is nice to have the option.

It's one of my favorite features. I've recently gone back to my Q10 and I miss this feature so much.

it's amazing how much time flicking helps save.

I only use it when I'm typing with one hand, quite handy(no pun intended lol).

when you build enough "learned words", you will see how beneficial it is. its just laggy for me with the new leak and i have to keep resetting in settings

Now that I am using my phone for quite sometime, flicking provides such a great support (with quite a database of learned words) and fast way to type. It's so convenient.

It is an awesome, underrated feature, especially when you use more than one language. If I switch to Afrikaans from English, (and vice versa) it senses it immediately and I can write whole messages by just flicking words. Awesome feature. Don't think any other phone has a similar feature.

At first I never did as I was already pretty proficient at typing on a touch screen phone, and I've never really fully switched over. Although, I do like to use the flicking still it's just that when I go to quickly pound something out I immediately default to non-flicking. Now I'm on a 10.3 leak and my Z10 won't reliably flick, super annoying, and brings to light how useful it really is.

One of few things you can brag about BB10.
Very useful when using one hand. Supports Hindi too which is even better.
I used flicking as I type this.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!!! When I'm using my Q10 flicking is one of the things I miss the most. As someone said earlier, it's great for one-handed device use.

I find that the Auto correct on the space bar is usually good enough not to have to flick as typing can actually be quicker than flicking when you don't have to be accurate.
