    I've got a Q10.. I've security wiped the phone,
And I've done everything I could think of to fix this issue.

There is nothing on the phone after a security wipe..
And the Device Memory keeps going up until the phone is nothing but lag & won't operate anything at all.

Has anyone else experienced this issue & managed to fix it?
If so.. Please let me know how you fixed it.
I really haven't got time to send the phone back thru Bell & wait for them to repair it.

This Q10 might soon be going thru a wall.

Yikes! Don't throw it. Reload the OS. It's something rogue in there. Reload the OS and try that and see what happens. Better than running it over, right?

    Even after a restart/reboot..
It'll start at 4.4 GB's then raise quickly until it hits 15.7-15.9 then it notifies me to move or delete data,
When there's nothing on it at all.

Yeah I done that.. First security wipe got interrupted & I had to connect with the net to do a full reload of the last OS update I got from Bell..
And the same thing keeps happening lol.
Only problem I've had since the release of the Q10..
Actually only problem I've ever had with BlackBerry lol..
Usually I never have any issues with any BlackBerry I've ever had.

I'd bring it in and get it replaced under warranty.

That's the first i've seen of a bb10 device do that (keep in mind I'm not totally adverse in all that is bb10) lol

    Good luck

Yeah the warranty is there along with extra waranty..
The phone shouldn't be doing this..
But if I send it in I'll be without a phone for awhile & I need it a lot right now lol.

Check if email accounts are filling up data, I read a thread earlier that it was the cause for the poster

Big white has a great idea.

    And Re: warranty.
I recently had to send my wife's z10 out on warranty and while hers was away they had a z10 for her to use. While I was in the store there was a guy collecting his q10 and he had been using a q10 loaner.

I'd take a look at what big white had suggested then give your retailer a call.

Deleted both Hotmail & Gmail off the phone..
5.2GBs now.. See what happens soon.

If that's the cause of it tho that's pretty sad cause that's basically the main purpose of the BB's lol.

Now the phone only been doing all this since the last OS update the Bell carrier sent out.

So far so good.. The device storages "other data" isn't filling up..
Kinda sucks not having my e-mails directly sent to my phone tho..
It was probably the last OS update that caused this tho..
Never had issues with the e-mails on it until I got the update lol.

If it were me, i'd check out that thread, then I'd add one of the email addresses back at a time and further investigate it.
See which one is causing the problem.

Yeah I'll try adding one at a time later..
I'm almost thinking it's the Gmail tho..
When I added it last it came up different than it did when I first got the q10.
Just glad I ain't gotta mess with sending it back when I need it most lol.

I still think it has something to do with the last OS update Bell released tho cause before I updated it worked perfectly fine.

I know most of my data, which I usually restore, has increased up to 7 GB now
Occasionally I just restore settings, and start everything else from scratch.
That deletes some of the useless data

How did you update to this OS?

Got a notification on my Q10 about the update so I updated after backing up,
Same as I done with the previous update.
Like I said all worked fine prior to this update,
It wasn't til after the update that the issue started.

And it was def the e-mails causing it..
I'm guessing G-Mail but I'll test both out later when I'm not at work to pin point which one exactly.

I can say I've used all these OS with emails, and they are fine. I suspect it may be due to the OTA updates

Are you setting email to synch time frame to forever?
    That will do it.

Yeah mine as well. Started with 9.6GB and now it has chewed 1GB of my storage memory and I have no idea what causes it, perhaps email syncs? I only use Yahoo & Outlook here and 2 IMAP email accounts all on push. Perhaps contacts sync? As I found out that everytime I add someone on FB/Twitter/LinkedIn then the phone syncs in order to add that entry to my phone's contact entry and once it's done, I saw that around 80-100MB of the storage data has been chewed off. Strange..

But I haven't rebooted my phone as yet. See if rebooting will at least recover few hundreds of MB to my storage memory. I think the "StorageGate" here might be due to:
    - email sync footprint
    - PIM sync footprint & logs
    - Social media accounts sync footprint
    - BBM footprint --> I have a suspicion that the latest BBM version also chews more data compared to the latest Channels beta. Hopefully another BBM build will be released soon to address this problem
    - temporary files from apps updates, apps/music/movie downloads which sometimes can't be removed from the storage system until we delete or reboot

    Running the 10.2.0.429 as well.

Sent from CB10 app on my STA-2
