    I tried deleting recent photos but even though the images have been deleted they still appear there. How can I empty this?

    Seems to be a cache. I had it when a side loaded Tumblr app was on my device. It put all photos in a cache.

    I went into Instagram side loaded app and went to upload photo, which then showed me the various folders of photos. It showed me a cache photo folder, I deleted that and went to picture app and confirmed that the offending photos had in fact disappeared.
