have a Z10, when ever i restart my phone, my contact disappear and phone overheats for +- 3hours then contact reappear, anyone else have this?

Your phone indexes contacts each time you restart it. You won't see them in the app until it's done.

But it should not take more than a minute or two.

Media also gets indexed.

How many contacts do you have and how many accounts have to sync??

3 hours is very abnormal. Maybe there's something else going on that's eating CPU cycles like crazy. Go into settings, app manager, device monitor after a restart and check out what apps are using resources. Well, it'll probably just show "system" as taking all the resources.

i have about 3000 contacts that need to sync of my two accounts, excluding Facebook,twitter and linkedin. it just says system

Wow 3000. I only have about 250.

Check this.




Make sure it is NOT checked. Otherwise your phone is going to try to go online and look up details about all your contacts each time. That is a HUGE task with 3000.

still not working, wiping the phone and setting up as new, will see if that works

Wipe without the restore did the trick, phone is working peachy now
