I've just noticed that all the new contacts I've added since switching to a BB10 phone are being saved to my SIM. I would like new contacts that I add to be automatically added to my Gmail account. However, under Settings > Accounts > Defaults there doesn't seem to be a setting for the default contacts account. How do I tell BB10 that I want my default address book to be Gmail? Thanks!

When you add a new contact, there is a drop down menu right at the top that let's you select where you want to save to
Also you need to have set the contacts toggle to on when you added the Gmail account
