My one real annoyance is that clicking on text message on the desktop it doesn't take you directly to composing a text message . Instead it directs you to the hub where in the end takes about 3 clicks to get to the actual composition menu. Where I send the majority of messages via text it annoys me every time

Why not click on the hub icon then if you prefer not to swipe to the hub? Actually I just tested it and it's just one click to open the app, type to address, type to compose. Same on iOS and on Android.

I believe on all platforms you have to open the SMS inbox to compose a text message.
That being said, would you like me to make a "compose SMS" app?

Scrid, make sure you charge a sufficient amount for it (say $50) because I think the demand will be fairly low.

OP, I composed a text to see how much effort it really takes. While reading CrackBerry, swipe > Compose > Text Message. Done. I'm sorry I couldn't test the Text Message icon method because I deleted it since I only use swipes.

Cheers! And, good luck with the app, Scrid!

Most apps I've made have turned out to have low demand but there have been some surprises.

Using some existing code I have, I actually think I could whip up a Compose SMS app in 2-3 hours. So not too much skin in the game there.

Perhaps this is off topic, but are you composing in Cascades? If so, do you like it?

No button in the Hub takes you to Compose. Bad idea.

Huh? There's a button on the bottom bar of the hub that says Compose.

You can also text without the hub or app with type and go... type "message" then their name.
