This may be hokey, but could be fun, and different from all the marketing methods going on right now.

I'm sure many of you remember Pinky and the Brain.
Picture the opening scene as it normally goes.

Brain:
Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking? (Picture Brain tapping away on a new BlackBerry A10, Z10 or Q10)

Pinky:
Dunno Brain, How do we get all those rubber ducky apps into my smart phone, I love rubber ducky's you know. (Pinky playing with a "different smartphone, You pick but a fruity one comes to my mind)

Brain:
No Pinky, Tonight We are going to try and take over the world! Discard that useless device, and try this one on for size. We need to get things done Pinky, and I don't have time for wanna be smart phones. With this Blackberry A10 we can use BBM to Screen share and video chat, You can gain access to wifi with ease, use the hub to stay in touch with our plans, if you forget something , the remember app will help get you back on track. We can create word and excel documents, view power points, scan through our pdf files....on and on you get the point. (Brain could be then seen whipping through the functionality of the phone, executing his plans and presenting his ideas,

Pinky:
Wow Brain, all that in that phone, What is it some kind of super smartphone? It's so easy to use Brain, I even found my rubber ducky app. This is great. He look so happy.

Fade out with the phone or something...

And show Brain's Contact list in BBM growing as he starts making connections..

Another thought is the minions from Despicable Me. Too bad BlackBerry didn't think to jump on that bandwagon. I'm sure there is something to get things moving.

I'd be a little sad that the first celebrities BlackBerry got to use in advertising were From Animaniacs haha.

I loved watching them, but I don't know if BlackBerry paying Warner Bros. whatever it would cost would be worth it. I'm 25 and I think people my age and a little older would know of them. But what about older people? I don't know how well cartoon mice would appeal to the business crowd..

One spot I really loved was the Telus Playbook ad. For some reason Youtube has it locked up.
But I did find this one:

High energy, eye/ear grabbing with a single message per spot. Multiple spots with the same song but showing a different kick a$$ feature of the Z10, Q10 etc etc.with each spot.
Could also take on the IPhone and Droids with a "kick their a$$" theme.

Folks need something that will grab them, hold them and make them look forward to the next one.

(yes I did take classes in marketing)

BTW, Kudos to Telus for doing marketing the right way! BB learn!
