Was just using iPad (something I rarely do) and noticed the clock icon shows real time, even with moving second hand. Kinda wish BB10 did this. Handy for quick glances.

Maybe that will come in an update - they eventually changed the calendar icon to show the actual date.

HA!! Just learned something else, the correct date is in fact shown on the calendar icon with 10.3!! Cool.

As for the clock, I just look at the top of the screen

I really do wish BlackBerry would add an inbox to the calendar like iOS has though. That is super handy.

I'm still on 10.2.1 and my calendar shows the correct date. Also, the clock Active Frame does show the correct time, so that's at least something.

I don't understand the point of having real time on the clock icon. If I am in an application and need to peek at the time, I just swipe up from the bottom enough to peek at the time on the home screen. And most likely, if you can see you icon, you can see the time on your home screen. I hardly ever leave my clock app open in active frame either, though I do like the Porsche version.

FWIW the calendar icon has showed the correct date since day 1, just like OS 6, 7, and OS 5. The only device that doesn't show the correct date on the calendar icon is the Playbook.

I'm not referring to the Calendar icon, I am aware of that, and also active frame, I just mean the clock icon itself. Not a big thing, but I had just noticed it was real time indicated on iPad, with moving second hand, and I like that. I think it would be nice to see on the icon on BB10. I know the clock is up there to look at anytime, but when just swiping between my screens I often notice my static clock icon more that than the small display at top of screen, so would be bonus if it actually showed correct time (second hand not necessary), as the calendar icon shows correct date.

My clock icon is correct...twice every 24 hours...and as others do, I look at the top for the time... true time clock icon would just be a gimmick to me. iPad screen size makes it less of a gimmick there.

Probably won't notice it so much if you move it to the last page. ;-D

Good point about iPad icon size. I just looked at Clock icon on iPhone and it still is real time, with moving second hand, but yes, a little smaller and not as readily noticeable.but on my shiny new Passport the static clock is more noticeable. But as ozdezignr pointed out, the static clock is correct twice a day
