    Are carriers in charge of pushing out BB10 updates?
    I dont have a z10 but looking to switch back to BB soon. If I'm reading the threads correctly, it sounds like the carriers push out the software updates?
    Why didn't they control the updates themselves the way apple does for iphone? Depending on the carriers is always a bad idea

    Apple can do it, because they're Apple and they have a certain amount of leverage because of the market share they have.

    Everybody else has to play by the carrier's rules. And their rules are: we're not putting software on our network that we haven't tested.
