I can send emails to people with pictures and text, but when I attach my resum, it comes back saying delivery to the following recipients failed. Why is this? It is a .docx file

Could this be a firewall issue on the part of the receiver?
    Two possible issues:
    1. Their firewall blocks docx (unlikely, but could be)
    2. The file is too large. Many firewalls will block a file > 10 meg, for example

I don't remember for sure, but I'm sure that I have been able to send a docx file to someone, although I don't do this regularly.

The file is 30kb in size, so I know it's not a size issue. If they're blocking .docx, how can I easily convert it to a different file type that is more widely accepted?

    Edit:

I've tried sending the file as .docx, .doc, and .pdf with the same result. It bounces back to me saying delivery failed. I can send the file to my cousin, who just has a regular personal hotmail account. But when I send it to business to apply for a job, it bounces back. Does anyone have any idea what to do? In a time where applying online is the preferred method of applying, this is causing me huge problems.

I've tried sending from my hotmail and my Gmail accounts.

I just successfully sent the SAME file using my computer. So I guess it's a BB10 problem...

To be honest, it maybe a BB10 problem or it may not!

Without knowing the full information; your email address or the address you are sending it to, it's never going to be easy for us on the forum to offer full assistance!

Glad you got it sent in the end.

I don't really want to paste my email address on here, all I can say is that it's a regular, personal email account with hotmail.

I totaly understand and agree with you... I wouldn't post my personal stuff on here either!

The point I was making, was that for that same reason, of not posting here... it's hard to fully access your problem!

Strange, I always send files. I wouldn't be with Blackberry if I couldn't.

Exactly.... making this a huge set back for me. I don't even own a PC because I rely on my BlackBerry for doing basic and moderate PC functions. If I suddenly can't even send my resume to someone, that makes my phone pretty useless. There must be something causing this

@OP, have you tried just restarting the device!

Also, is this a basic doc, meaning without extensive formating! Can you open the document in docs to go?
