    Just got the Telus prepaid z10 and I'm having a problem with appworld.

    When I try to load it it says "To continue using blackberry world, you must upgrade your current version" and I'm given two choices "exit" or "upgrade".

    When i click "upgrade" it takes me to the "downloads" page in appworld but nothing happens - nothing is being downloaded.

    I've tried upgrading via blackberry.com/appworld from the browser but it takes me to the app and then the same thing happens. I've tried the a battery pull as well. i've even tried restoring it from a back-up file from another device where i know the appworld works.

    anyone know what gives?

    In BBW swipe down from the top ,go into settings / general and refresh see if that helps.

    What OS version are you on and have you tried with wifi on and as well as trying with wifi off?

    I immediately updated to 10.2.1 on Telus - noticed the problem right away.

    I restored to a back-up from another Z10 I have, same OS version, and the same issue.

    Tried with Wifi, with SIM, etc. I just restored it to factory settings so we'll see.

    I'm wondering if it's because it's "prepaid" and I never activated it - however all other aspects of the phone works.

    Did you ever establish a BBID? You need one to transact any business, even free apps, from BB world.

    From another forum other users have reported simply popping in their SIM without issues - no need to "activate" the phone nor to "unlock" the device if they were on Koodo or Telus.

    Looks like it was some sort of software defect or loophole. Anyway, had to return it - what shame.

    I can connect to Blackberry World but cannot download apps, I reside in the Marshall Islands Micronesia.
    Any ideas people, might not sell my iPhone just yet if BBW is not functional in my area.

    What happens or does not happen when you try to download apps? You have a BBID and you have established a payment method?

    Okay I have gone thru the check list of all suggestions posted and still getting BBW needs to close, although I did get a " PS10369" error message on one of my numerous attempts.

    Last thought is it possible to change my IP address in the hope that Blackberry World thinks I am from a approved listed country?
