I would like to know if anyone has an elegant way to include a pdf file (or any other file type) into a calendar entry. I find this useful when you scan a page of instructions into a calendar entry.

Current this is my workflow:

1. Open calendar
2. Start calendar entry
3. Open Dropbox and share file link with Clipman app
4. Paste link into note section of the calendar entry

Is there a way to clean up the steps need to include a file into the bb10 calendar?

You can always put a link to the file in the calendar event... but why not use the Remember app ?
