    It's been a couple weeks since it was released and I've been trying to read some forums and stuff to figure out exactly what it is but I can't get it.

    Is it something that I should download? I heard it has that new number pad unlock rather than a full keyboard which would be convenient.
    Is the MR an official release or do I wait until a later OS Update shows up on my phone automatically?

    MR stands for Maintenance Release. That is, it's a minor update without major features added, it's mostly bug fixes. It's possible your carrier has not released it yet, BUT I was under the impression that Canadian carriers HAD released it.

    I thought the same, plus Euro carriers. Who is your carrier? Yes, it does seem to contain the features you describe.

    You should have it by now. I'm with Telus and it was released on the first day it was available along with rogers. Check settings/ software updates and refresh the link.

    Telus received the update on day one. Go to settings & tap on "check for update"
