    Is there a way to use the built in timer without sound? I'd like it to count down and vibrate instead of a sounding alarm. Any ideas?

    Yes
    Before you set the timer, tap the time (above the start& reset buttons) and then click where it says "timer tone" and turn the volume slider all the way down
