    Well as the title says; can apps update themselves without my intervention?

    Might just be me but whatsapp looks different today. There is a microphone button next the the message area and I don't remember seeing that before.

    Also the CB10 app looks different today on the main screen.

    WhatsApp was updated server side, so the microphone appearing was already baked-in the last update and just needed to be told by the servers to display itself.

    To answer your question, no, apps cannot update themselves on BlackBerry 10. Would be a nice option to have though.

    It would be nice. On Google Play there is the option to allow apps to auto update and another option to only update on wifi.

    Would be good if you could get this on BB.
