Just like the title says, I am wondering can andorid run time to be uninstalled from BB10 or prevented from ever running on non-bes BB10 devices?

The reason for question is because I never downloaded any apps on any of the blackberry devices that I have owned and if the time ever comes that I do indeed want to download apps I would only use native apps.

There are some other parts of the OS that depend on it too. So while it might be technically possible, it's highly recommended not to mess with it.

Yes but you may be using android apps and you may not even know it, which could cause bb10 to get unstable.

In settings, app manager, installing apps, ensure allow apps from other sources to be installed is unticked. It probably will be in your case anyway.

Go to app world and then my world. Installed. You shall see android runtime. Press that for 5 seconds and you shall ssee delete option or if yu knw hw to sideload frm thr yu can remove
