That has been popping up since 10.2.1 first leaks... I know it can be fixed with a reboot and completely pushed away by installing a camera bar from 10.2 but seriously imagine the frustration, let alone the embarrassment if in place to take a family photo or something... not everyone knows about the installing of different camera bars or willing to wait a couple of minutes for the phone to reboot...

Come on BlackBerry it can't be that hard to fix...

There's a trick that I found since the .1055

After rebooting, immediately open the camera app first and don't open other apps that using camera to take picture (e.g. instagram, etc)

I found that the "The camera can't be started" never pop up until you reboot your phone.
I know it's so random but at least you can prevent it from happening at crucial moments

I did see this in the early 10.2.1 builds but I did have other apps installed lige Instagram (Android).

I got the feeling that it was some app opening a handle to the camera and locked it that way.

Have you checked with App Monitor and the Android Process Monitor app if this could be the case?

I didn't know that, will try it...
Still it shouldn't happen.. the engineers should make the camera app the higher in priority for getting access to the camera...
