    Can it be done?

I was sad to see a very limited amount of ringtones/sounds available for customization in the BB Z10.

Is there a pack available where I can port my systems sounds from BB7?

I really don't understand what people are hearing, but in settings I can set an individual sound for each type (messages, bbm, calls). And I can pick sounds/music from my sd card. Am I missing something?

I know this link takes you to the older ones. As for the OS 7 generation ringtones, no clue as yet.

I am aware that there are specific sounds available for customizations but I want the sounds I'm used to from my Bb7 phone ported over to my z10. I remember being able to install a sound pack to give my bb7 phone OS5 sounds.

I can understand that. There are certain sounds I always limed to hear, one of them being the Chi_Gong sound I used for BBM. When OS 6 came out, I wasn't happy with it until I had it.

Just a little. The OP was looking for the familiar legacy ringtones as opposed to the preloaded tones that come on the Z10. Just helping folks get what they love.

I'd really like to have the vibration customization back as well. I used to have my email accounts buzz differently for each account (short buzz is gmail, long buzz is work); BBM would be two short buzzes. Starting to miss it. I was able to know what message I received while my phone was on vibrate in my pocket. Great for meetings, etc.

The OS7 ringtone link given above is a .JAD file. I wouldn't think BB10 would recognize that because that uses the legacy BBOS Java runtime to load.

Did anyone actually try using that file on a Z10?

Scroll to post number 23 or 24 of that link to get a legitimate copy to download. I have then on my z10 and they work flawlessly

Thanks for these! Always amazes me how a lot of the newer stuff is worse than the older stuff.

Now the question is, does BB10 play MIDI files, and how do they sound? Lots of differences between how a particular implementation renders a MIDI file. I'm not sure I have the patience to transcribe all those .MID files via my 9650's headphone jack...

Glad you pointed that out to the person asking. And glad to hear they are working well. Makes the search and effort worthwhile.

How did u install them on your z10? Because on mine they only want to show up as music files (like an mp3

    *edit*
K i figured out that you have to rename the file extensions from .m4a.m4a to just .m4a
but now how do i add these tones without them going into my music playlist? (if i delete them from playlist it deletes from z10 as well)

Is there any chance to share Z10 preloaded ringtones? Are they the same as OS6 or OS7?
