Hey everyone, I tried searching but didn't really see much that would answer my question. I'm excited like everyone else is about BB10 arriving in next few months. My question is with BB10 arriving to the PlayBook as well will I be able to bridge my 9900 with it? I plan on getting a new BB10 phone but I'm not eligible for an upgrade until August so until then will I still be able to bridge?

    Thank you in advance

I'll be in the same situation, so I am hoping this will be the case. I'll likely be with my 9900 for a few more months yet.

I would assume it would. Seeing as most of the PB owners out there are also BB handset owners, and this is a major selling feature that makes the PB more useful, it wouldn't make sense to not have it bridged. Of course, I could be wrong but I can't see them getting rid of such a powerful feature.

Likewise. The feature is already there, so the work involved in keeping it there is minimal. It'd be bizarre to scrap it, especially since there will still be a lot of pre-BB10 handsets out there for the next while.

It'd be a good way to infuriate good customers if they didn't, so it's a racing certainty it'll be fine.

Bridging a bb7 device to a bb10 playbook would seem like it would be a simpler update to bridge than the other situation of bridging a bb10 handheld to either an os 2.x or bb10 playbook.

Owning a PB (or few) without a BB doesn't make much sense and as PB will get an upgrade to OS10, I'm sure RIM will not overlook all of us with OS7 phones and make bridging incompatible. If that other fruit company had anything similar, they sure thing would do it, just to make us bin perfectly good devices and replace them with new ones.
