Once in awhile, I get a blinking white light after reboot. It goes away with time, but does anyone know what it does?
Happened on my z30 and q10. Both on 10.2.1

Do you have service area or signal area LEDs set for your phone?

Did you ever find out the cause of this?

It happened to me this morning... I looked at my phone and it was shut off for some reason. When I restarted it and it finished loading - the LED was blinking in white. I rebooted and it hasn't re-occured yet...

Could it be a hardware issue?

Whaaaat? Wrong OS your thinking of. I've been waiting for coverage indicator for a year and I may need to flip to android to get it now. It was a major business feature that I miss and need badly.

It's probably an app causing the issue, even if you don't use the app.

Do you have something like color id ( the app given away by BlackBerry in December)

If so go to device monitor and force close it.

Does that solve the white light issue? I have that app (never use it) and I have the white led and reboot issue

In my case it was causing a random blinking red led light and sometimes a white light. When I forced closed it in a special way - via device monitor, my problems went away. I then deleted color id permanently

This is why custom LED modes need to be baked into the OS like every blackberry before bb10

No they were not baked in legacy OS. (Unless OS 7 had it). OS 6 and below did not have it

You hit the nail on the nose! I force closed and uninstalled color id since I wasn't using it... No more white LED!

Yes this has been happening to me as well. The culprit was ColorID. Thanks!

Oh ya.. a couple apps have it but it's different. I downloaded them last summer and from what I remember it flashes the light when there is no service. The old blackberry used to flash green with good service and amber with no service... as well the app wasn't headless when I used it so it was a pain. Anyways, life goes on

What BlackBerry models did you have that did this? None of my previous BB's had this function ( user since 2008)
