I currently own a Google Nexus 5 and am interested in purchasing either a Blackberry Q10 or Z30 due to the better battery life and the keyboards(either virtual of physical) available on BB10. I owned a Z10 for quite some time and loved that phone however the battery was not good, maybe even worse than that of my nexus 5. Everything else with the experience was great. I'm going to keep my nexus 5 for many reasons, as it is a great phone. I was just wondering what you all would recommend as a good BB10 device to pick up.

Yeah, the Z10 in general had bad battery life. Thankfully, it's much better on the Q10 and Z30. One thing I would recommend you think about: going from a Nexus 5 to Q10 you would be going to a smaller screen. Do you think you'll be able to adjust to that? If not, I recommend the Z30.

also, if you need to use Android apps check they will work on the square Q10 screen, some don't.

I have a Z10 and N4. I'd recommend the Q10 and N5 combo if you're going to keep both of them on you at all times. If you leave one at home, then Z30 and N5.

Q10 battery life is okay. If you're looking for battery life, go Z30.

I like Q10 because of the small size and keyboard. And very easy to use with one hand.

Edit: More on Q10 battery life with my usage. I get about 8-12 hours. If I have whatsapp and bbm groups very active plus my normal usage then it becomes about 6 hours.

Now if I don't use it much, it can last me a day and a half.

Totally agree! I currently own a Q10, Z10, and Nexus 5 (no Z30 though), but my recommendation will be the same as yours.

I also owning a nexus 5 and just got my q10 2days ago. Previously owned a bb9000 maybe 5 years ago. Physical keyboard is the sweetest spot that I always like on bb phone. Only thing I missed on nexus 5 is my tasker profiles
