I just updated my z10 to official OS 10.3.1 and all my games run super slow, and lag hard. I cannot even play Live Poker 2.
Any suggestions and how to fix this?
How do i downgrade to my last OS?
This new OS is unbearable.

If you've just updated, wait for while to allow the phone to settle.
If you still want to downgrade, you'll have to use an autoloader. You can search the forums for a 10.2.1 autoloader.

There is also a chance your update went wrong. You might want to try wiping the phone completely to perform a fresh install. What about the general interface, is scrolling etc. on the homescreen(s) laggy too?

Indexing. Amongst other things, it sorts through all data on the device and card memory and puts it all in order so that it shows up in the Pictures, Music, and Videos apps. PIM services also re-sync. Honestly, it depends, it could even be BBM sync channel data.

Also, since the problem is mainly android apps, have you tried re-installing them?

In 12 hours you've done multiple restarts and in turn reset the progress that the OS is trying to do... it's reindexing, syncing contacts, emails and calendar and you interrupt it each time

If it's getting worse that's abnormal. Try reloading the OS and as suggested make sure that the WiFi signal has full bars and keep the phone plugged in to power throughout. If you have access to sic multi wipe, I'd do that before reloading with an autoload version. If you are using Link then just go ahead and reload factory settings.

Security wipe does nothing more than erases/wipes user specific information from the phone. Just do what I suggested and you will thank me for it. 10.3.1 is far superior to 10.2

If what you are saying is true, then that's not such a bad thing now, is it? Lol. Hard to get by in today's day and age without being tech savvy, so owning a phone that encourages this is all the better.

Go to BlackBerry link and do an OS reload and DON'T RESTORE from a backup. Start from scratch. Try to backup your contacts using another method than BlackBerry link and your important info as well.

I had to wait a couple of days for the OS to settle and everything is smooth now...might be worth letting your device do the same.

Can you try a android game, and let me know if its laggy?
The OS is not laggy, everything is fine, the problem is when i try to play a android game .apk. I get like 2 frames per second in the game.

If you've tried everything else, take your SD Card out and see if the phone settles down after a few hours. I had some corrupted files that (I think) was preventing the phone from successfully re-indexing everything. Once the card was removed the phone quickly returned to normal.

I reformatted the card, reloaded my content, and everything is still good.

For the first time since I purchased my Z30 last year, I'm having same issue. Has never lagged before but now even simple games that my three year old uses are lagging.

Also I HATE that on BBM the "emoticom" "attachments " icons at bottom are in one order but on text message screen they are different order and size. Really ticking me off. Wish they didn't f**k around with those screens. Now they are horrid.
