    Hello Everyone,

I just bought a z10 yesterday (I use passport currently) and was wondering if there was a way to delete bar files/apk files from the z10 to remove all the junk and useless apps it comes with? I recently did the same with my BlackBerry Playbook and it became a lot faster and smoother.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I'd suggest doing a security wipe. You'll find it in settings under security and privacy. Doing so will put it back into a new clean state. You'll have to add back any apps that you do need.

The native default apps like tutorials, help, setup, assistant, smart tags, blackberry blend, docs to go and anything else I can remove to speed up the phone...

None of those apps run in the background, so phone speed is not affected.

Most, if not all, are all apps that I don't think can be deleted.

It mattered then. It doesn't now.

If you can find the Playbook Manager Plugin for Chrome (it might have a slightly different name), you can delete "apps" from the Z10, etc using it.

Also, if you use an Autoloader and dissect its contents, you can remove some of those apps before the loading process (like retail sales demo and foreign languages)

Yes I have that app, I'm going to do that now and delete those files and anything else that looks useless.

I use to create a folder named "recycle bin" for those apps when I was using my z10 lol.

Not that I remember but there are some innocent names of critical files.
