I think the timing of this corresponds to the release of 10.2.1 because blackberry will soon be hosting pure non ported android apps on app world. This update probably adds this functionality even though no apps are there yet.

Weird that they would beta test it right before the release of 10.2.1 and not long before to have it ready with 10.2.1

How could they? You have to have 10.2.1 in order to run them! I know many people installed the leak including myself but technically no one should have had it yet to do the testing.

Then they should have also released beta version of 10.2.1 – would have made us happy

I installed the beta version of Blackberry World yesterday, and I agree with the other posters who said it is quicker. I used to have "loading lag" when I used to launch it, and now it seems to load a lot quicker.

It's the same speed and what I hate about this beta update is that I no more get update notifications, as a matter of fact I don't get any update when I press check for updates, but when I go to the app in the installed list I see the updates.

Did you submit feedback in beta zone? This is the whole point after all.

The grey triangular tabs / buttons which when pressed expand the app sections have been made larger. That's all I see so far.

I'd like to exchange this beta for the BBM 2 beta
