BlackBerry has stated that BB10 will be made available for the PlayBook so by coding this version of BlackBerry World with the minimum OS then the existing PlayBooks won't see it as a possible update.

You don't think the existing playbooks will have an available update to the BB10?

I think the PlayBook will see BB10, I was trying to say that with the same core QNX base the existing PlayBook OS can probably at least recognise BB10 applications. If BlackBerry puts a minimum version level on an update I would think it would help incompatible applications from being downloaded.

So while the propellerheads and nerds work on getting BB10 working on the PlayBook they can test BlackBerry World, but keep the general population from having their tablets broken by an update.
