    Does BB10 have blackberry protect. Haven't heard to much about this app on here so I'm hoping that BB10 is still using this app for a online backup system.

    I'm p***ed off about this. BB Protect back-up/restore has saved my **** in several cases. I'm not worried about contacts & calendar - those are sync'd. I particularly like to have my memos, password keeper and bookmarks backed-up daily.

    You can also set a new password on your device and lock it.

    I tried to turn on Protect on my Z10 and it wouldn't connect, now it's just grayed out and I can't turn it on.

    BlackBerry Protect should provide full device backup and restoration services but BlackBerry management seem adamantly opposed to the provision of cloud services for the very market segment they claim to be courting with BlackBerry 10 - the consumer. There should be no BlackBerry Link desktop software; offer a full-service cloud backup and restore, remote wipe, and locator for BlackBerry 10 devices. For those with a BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 activated smartphone a cloud-based service is not required because automated backup of many of the system databases is already provided.
