Dear all.... I have purchased an android device as my second device as my z10 is still rocking ... I just can't tolerate the life in Android without the BlackBerry keyboard and hub, man it sucks... my android device, Oneplus One, is running 4.4.4 and it is rocking 7 hours screen on time... I tried to install the blackberry keyboard APK but it didn't work as it requires 5.0 lollipop...
I don't wanna loose my screen on time on my android device and at the same time I want to install the blackberry keyboard. ...

Is there any chance that a genius developer will develop that keyboard to run on 4.4.4???
    Please I'm desperate
And don't tell me to update my android phone cuz I will lose the SOT which is the main reason for me buying this phone over my z10.... sorry
    Please help.

The app was designed on the API level of Lollipop.

I doubt someone is going to reengineer it for Kitkat and its ever shrinking user base.

    As conite says...
Your Android version is too old.

Just install the damn OS update for your one plus one! The keyboard is totally worth it, plus, is your battery life seriously going to decreased by much?

BlackBerry own the source to the keyboard, they would need to build it for kitkat... why on earth would they do that...

Why don't you upgrade the OS to 5.1 and install the Priv launcher?

To be honest the Android BB keyboard isn't as good as the BB10 one.

Reacts differently to delete swipes, some aesthetics look a bit different

It's limited the amount of time I spend imagining smashing my Samsung into millions of tiny pieces fairly significantly.

After spending so long with my old Z10 I find it pretty had to re-program my mind away from long press for caps.

Would be nice if I didn't have to hack it on there but it looks like BlackBerry have canned the BlackBerry experience suite...
