If I have to switch to android it will be all or nothing. I would get the Note5 so I can root it and try different roms and stuff.

BBOS still has a bigger userbase than BB10 ever had - but the numbers are dropping so fast that that won't be a true statement for much longer. Unfortunately for BB, that also means a huge loss in service revenues...

Android is garbage. The BlackBerry I know is pretty much dead. One last update (security patches to follow i suppose). After my z30 dies I really hate to say it, I will probably get an iPhone. Haven't got my hands on Win10 phone to try it out so that may or may not be an option.

Personally, I think it's the best OS out there. Unfortunately, the lack of updates has forced me to buy a priv. It's bittersweet, because I'll miss what BlackBerry 10 is all about, but, the lack of apps started catching up to me, regardless of the runtime. The camera seems to be degrading, and the battery is getting a little long in the tooth.

However, if the translation to get priv isn't near seamless, I'm going to sell it and go back to the z30 without thinking twice.

Guys what are you talking about, BBM channels is totally monetizable. Have a big audience, make some phone calls and have some ad deals going. You know your market by geography, start hitting those markets. Make things happen, don't expect BlackBerry to do everything for you guys. You are the entrepreneur.
