Blackberry 10 banking apps?

Does anyone know when or if Blackberry 10 will be getting any banking applications?

With full browser do you REALLY need a banking app ? Thats like wanting an app on your laptop. Sure it might be nice, but not really needed.

You can always go to the mobile version on your z10 browser if your bank offers one (which most do) and just add the page to your homescreen using the menu option from within your browser .. voila .. instant app icon. Did it for my cousin for the TD bank. He just opnen up his browser .. typed in http:/www.td.com/w and added it to his homescreen... told me it worked perfectly for him...

Using the browser is valid unless u av a bank like UK Barclays who av additional security wen logging in, called pincentry. This not only involves carrying around a lil box but adds an additional couple steps when logging in online. With there app on OS7 was a simple enter code and viola on your account

the app even had pincentry built in.

I believe that bank apps are coming announced a while back but I am hoping they are actual apps, as opposed just to a link to the mobile site (a few banks had this on android which was useless).

I can tell you there will be a RBC bank app. It's being tested right now on the Z10. Based on what i see look at it's release in the next 60 days. (Thats not an official statement)

That's good news for me. I just tweeted RBC asking them if they have an app coming out. I guess you answered my question!

I'm not sure I would ever try using a sideloaded banking app.

It seems sketchy to enter your banking info into a pirated or hacked app.

Well some news on the RBC banking app. Rumors have it August for BB10. And no NFC payments in that release. Again don't take this as official in any way. I'm putting this out as opinion.

Where did you get that "News" from? I'm waiting on the RBC app too as the mobile site is somewhat lacking.

Ya the mobile site is pretty bare bones and doesn't allow email transfers.

Ahh cap, my 2 year old grabbed my phone and sent the message before I was done typing.

Anyway, there will be a CIBC Investor's Edge app for the Z10 which they confirmed for me over email, unknown release date.

I assume they (CIBC) will also release their NFC payment app.
