    For me this update rocks!

    Summary:

    • gmail 2-way calendar sync with multiple calendars working finally
    • backup working finally
    • restore of contacts from my BBB backup file worked (this was from BB9900 that I traded in)

A bit more detail in case it might help anyone (wasn't 100% straightforward) ...

    • OTA update weighed in at 149 MB
    • installed flawlessly, rebooted flawlessly
    • gmail calendar still wasn't syncing after reboot so I deleted and tried re-adding my gmail account, I could not re-add it (kept getting "not authenticated" or something similar)
    • decided to reboot since gmail wasn't cooperating, then I added my gmail account without problems
    • gmail ended up being split into 3 separate accounts - 1 email (IMAP), 1 calendar (guess caldav based on URL), 1 contacts (who knows, just shows server google.com). I didn't select any advanced options ... just entered gmail email addresses and next, next, next ...
    • tested 2-way calendar sync to multiple gmail calendars (within single gmail account), no issues
    • My gmail has activesync but (based on above) it doesn't look like Z10 is using it - great, not a fan of proprietary protocols!
    • tested sending and receiving email on both gmail and personal (IMAP) accounts
    • email on both accounts sent fine (authenticated SMTP/SSL/port 465)
    • emails on both my gmail and personal email were received almost immediately (I'd guess 30 seconds at most though I didn't have a stopwatch)
    • tried to restore contacts using Link from my last BB9900 backup file (.bbb format), it appeared to work but I still couldn't see the contacts on phone
    • screwed around with contact settings and contacts finally showed up (I believe I hit "Import contacts from SIM")
    • the contacts I restored are now on my SIM card
    • decided it was time to back up my phone finally, it worked!!! It was a bit annoying having had the phone for a month not being able to back it up ... 6GB backup took a bit over 30 minutes (this was to a very slow netbook)

Overall very happy with the update, very happy!

Update: no noticeable battery improvement though I did bump display lock from 30 seconds to 1 minute. Still got 12 hours+ which ain't bad.

Interersting.... port 465 is a legacy email port but generally considered non-standard by the RFCs these days if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to dig into that some more. Thanks for the notes.

@Ruchirasp Try updating via blackberry link or do a restart on your phone and check your notifications, check manually for an update in settings.

Confirming that. Version 10.0.10.85 - Size 3MB showing up on my phone as well, and this is after the 149MB update done yesterday.

EDIT: Didn't require a restart after installing this small update. Not entirely sure what it was, any ideas?

The smaller updates without a restart are for pre loaded apps.

    Like Facebook, Newstand, YouTube, etc...

    K so battery life.

The phone will last you more then 10 hours if you don't touch it, it goes down by 1% every 40-60min, according to my observations. LTE drainage is exactly the same though I suggest you turn that **** off unless you're downloading something.
But if you're using the actual phone for more then 5 minutes, the battery starts draining every 11 minutes, 1% at a time. Overall, lag on messaging for fb, twitter, and texts are no longer there and selecting text actually works now LOL

    Contacts are fine.
    Phone restarted fine.
Apps are way more fluid now (could be placebo though but i actually find it to be a bit faster, not like A HUGE DIFFERENCE, but it's noticeable, that's not to say apps were fine before hand)

Camera has "night" added along with "Beach/Snow"

In total, the update took around 3 hours, mostly cause of my ****ty connection. 150mb at first, then 768mb.

Now, get jellybean runtime going BBRY! Sick and tired of crappy ports

unfortunately that is just a minor software update, Facebook, Linkin and Twitter to name at least some. its not the 150 MB update we are all waiting for.

Seeing as how I don't Face, Link or Twit, it was a nothing update. I just had to re-delete those apps.
You anti-social curmudgeon! Glad to see you stayed with BB and are now posting and recommending BB to your family! Cheers.

I am on Etisalat in the UAE and received the update last week, a week or 10 days later than Canada and the UK. I am now on 10.0.10.85, but didn't notice major changes, however, I am happy to have the update.

I wish Blackberry pushes updates in the future to all users simultaneously regardless of carrier!

I talked to a bell representative and they said that the reason there is no bell tv app is that carriers and developers have to design apps In a whole new way without a back button. It's taking longer then expected and that's why a lot of the big name apps that were announced at the launch event are not there. She said don't worry its coming soon

So take that for what it is....

I know this is a Bell update thread but anyway, I had updated my device a few weeks ago when the update for Koodo came out. I find it strange that I get another update today of the same OS version here are pictures. If anyone has any input please do.
