I go into escreen etc... On my Classic and I can't find the MEP code anywhere... Strange unlocking my Q10 and pretty much any other OS 10 device was easy as pie...They change something? Long story short that's not how I unlock the reg way I do it didn't work so I sent it to a site everybody knows and he couldn't even do it said he needed the MEP and it's just not where it's supposed to be. Any help would be grand.

That's interesting if they changed something for the Classic. On the box for the Q10, I see a sticker with the (edit: PRD, not MEP like I made the mistake of saying at first) code as well as under the battery (I know that the battery on Classic is not removable, but maybe somewhere under the backing if it can at all be removed like on a Z30).

Sorry if I'm way out of my knowledge-zone here, but are you saying when you buy a BlackBerry10 device from a carrier, the MEP codes are on the box to unlock..? :\

I think you need the PRD number from the box.

That should be optional, but it helps to know exactly which carrier the device is locked to.


OP - you should just need your IMEI number which can be found under settings/about/ hardware
