Just out of curiosity, why doesn't this feature work from BB10 to non BB10?? Video and voice calls? Whereas it works from android/ios etc???

I have a Passport and have noticed this for months...had to buy a Priv just to use this feature as I use a lot of wifi calling...would have preferred not to depend on whatsapp etc!

The short answer is it doesn't and it won't since BB10 development is pretty much at EOL.

Silly... and the funny thing is that a person who has an android/iphone can't call BB10 users.... what a shame really!

Yes, but the reality is that both Android and iPhone are huge consumer markets for new devices and apps. BlackBerry's share of that market is now somewhere around 0.2%.

Dunno what you're talking about, but BBM voice calling between iOS/Android and BB10 works just fine. It's video chat, which doesn't work and probably never will.

Yes, voice calling should work cross platform with BB10, just not video.

Always worked from my P9983 to my kid's ios and Android Samsung as well as android Priv. Check settings and provider or zone restrictions. Does not work in some countries.

You data service might be the issue. I use voice call from my BlackBerry 10 device towards Android users. It works really good.

BlackBerry says "BBM Voice might not be supported in all regions or device versions. Visit our BBM support page below for more details."
See the View Supported Countries link on the BlackBerry BBM support page: BlackBerry - Messenger Help & Support ? BBM Resources - United States

I can make voice calls via Bbm on my q10 to my wife who is using an android phone with Bbm. Not video calls though.

Yes, the lack of video calls between BBM and iOS/Android has been a really sour spot for BB10 users. We were told that they were testing video calls for iOS and Android on a different network and that eventually would be put on the same network and would have it true cross platform, but we have yet to see that. It has been quite some time too.
