On my old 9900, it remembered the volume for each output and returned to that when you changed. AKA you plugged in a set of headphones, it changed the volume to the level you use when you last had headphones plugged in. The same thing happened when you used the built in speakers, bluetooth headphones, or bluetooth speakers. Does BB10 have a setting to go back to that arrangement? I keep getting blasted out because the car stereo and headphones are so different from each other for required levels. What am I missing?

My Z30 works fine, just as you describe your 9900, and it always has, as did my Z10..

When no headset is plugged in, and you press the volume up or down, it should show as "Media Volume" at the top of the screen.

If you plug in a pair of headphones, and press the volume up or down, it should show as "Headphone Volume"

If you connect a Bluetooth headset, the volume should show as "Bluetooth Volume"

Thanks. I ended up enabling Always Adjust Media Volume and it behaves like I wanted. I'm not sure if I just had a glitch along the way or not.
