I have been a BB user for about 6 years, and just recently gave up my BB for a HTC One x...for a couple of reasons.
1) If BB is suppose to be a business user phone, Why dont they have a swipe device that you can use on a BB device? I have not found one that supports BB phones?
I loved my BB 9810, but give me as a business owner a reason to come back, if I want to accept credit cards
Software-wise, Mobile Merchant Pro lets you accept credit cards on a BlackBerry (via authorize.net). Depending on your merchant provider, some have bluetooth swipe devices that work with the BB.
That being said, I keep hoping Square and PayPal Here add BlackBerry support (although that might not happen until BB10). The main requirement seems to be a headset port (audio in & out) for the plug-in devices to work (instead of just a headphone port with just audio out).
