On the old blackberry you could choose a profile (say "Normal") and then go inside of that profile and customize each app or email to whatever you like. But in BB10 it has profiles and you can go down and change them. But they never actually change. For example I always have my phone on silent, but would like to have a ringer for my phone. But if you select silent it is literally silent and you cannot change that. But if you select phone calls only it is literally phone calls only, I don't even get an LED which is most annoying. Am I doing something wrong here? Or is it just the way it is?

That's just the way it is at the moment, I'm afraid. I'm sure they'll add more and more notification customization in further updates.
