It's becoming increasing obvious that my carrier, being one of the smaller Canadian ones, will not be carrying BB10 on launch. The answer I get from them when I ask when they're likely to be in is "Dunno" and no-one bothers to try to find out. Will RIM be selling unlocked or locked phones directly? I get the impression it's probably going to be months before my carrier bothers to do anything about it, it's too deeply into Android and now WP8.

They do not sell devices directly, but you will probably be able to buy one unlocked for the off-contract price from another carrier instead.
