    Hi,

i'm new to this forum and i'm also a new user of a blackberry z30.
This is also my first bb.

I'm very happy with my phone.

Now i want to install ownCloud in my local network so that i can sync my bb and my android devices.
Perhaps later i would get an own server for this.

    But now the Problem:

I installed ownCloud Version 6.0.2 on an ubuntu 12.04 from the opensuse page.

    software.opensuse.org: Install package isvwnCloud:community / owncloud

Than i looked arround on the web to get carddav running with my Z30 and ownCloud.
I created a new carddav account and tried to connect to my server. But that did not work, because of the e-mail authentification.
Than i found a lot of forum threads, that discribes my problem.
They said write something here and than something there, but I'm not an expert of webservers. So i don't have any clue where to find those files i have to edit.
The only one i found was the apache2.conf, but they already had the changes in it.

Is there a good described way, for newbies like me to get carddav and caldav running with my z30 and ownCloud?

    Every help is apreciated

OwnCloud will ignore the e-mail address you can enter anything you want in there.
I myself am using CalDav and CardDav on my Z10 with Owncloud, but I'm still using OwnCloud 5.0.14. But to get it working I had to add the Server address as follows.

    :443/remote.php/carddav/addressbooks//contacts/

Replace the < > with the correct server address and you're login name. The 443 following the address is the port number. Since I'm running my server with https it's 443. If you don't have https enabled I think you can leave the :443 or try it with :80.

And enter the address of the server without https:// at the beginning.

As far as I know these settings should work also with Owncloud 6.
    Hope this helps.
