Just a quick question to ask whether apps like Blackberry Travel will be launched at the same time (We all are fairly sure that they will launch with Video BBM, but what about BB Protect for BB10, and BB Travel, etc....)

While there is no official confirmation yet - I believe you can rest assured that RIM will bring these to BB10.

BB Travel is awesome. One of my top apps that I use, I would assume this will be one app available at launch

I think I had heard that BB10 would have something a little different, like a combination of BB Travel and BB Maps, using Tom Tom data.

It wouldn't surprise me if something like bb travel was not there at launch, it is a 1st party app rather than a core app, so is something that could follow later, similarly something like bbm music too.

I hope that is there. It is the best Travel app hands down. Now integrate NFC for checking in. I love that app.

my money is on that it will be there at launch. its a key application for their target market, the hardcore business user.

they always use the airport 1 handed as an example, so this is just an extension of that idea.

WorldMate was one of the really great BB Apps and I was thrilled they gave us the "Gold" edition basically as BlackBerry Travel. The ease with this app taking airline, hotel, car rental confirmations from my email as it comes through my 9810 and migrating it to my calendar and to BB Travel was a stroke of genius for "people who do" . I take it so much for granted right now I certainly hope its a core native app in BB10, and one of the "surprises" Thorsten has for us on Jan 30th. Google Now is taking your airline check in and giving you the QR bar code as a GN card, as you get closer to flight time - would love to see BB Travel do something like that as well, a natural upgrade for the program that's worked so well.

BB Protect has been confirmed as baked into the OS.

I would be shocked if it's not available at launch. RIM knows how important apps are to the success or failure of BB10 and I bet they are working hard with the WorldMate folks to have a bigger/better/faster BB Travel app at launch

It is one of the greatest apps I've ever used on my BlackBerry. When I travel (and I travel frequently) it's very important to me. I can't wait to see what BlackBerry Travel looks like on BlackBerry 10.

Simply can't move to BB10 without BB Travel... I'll hang tight on BBOS7.1 until BB Travel makes it to the new platform.

You would think after all these delays they would at least have all their own apps ready at launch. Even if said launch doesn't include the US.
