    I wondered what's the difference between "location" and "GPS location" in the application permission settings.

    Btw it's real crap, that you can't set the permissions for Skype at all!

    If I remember correctly on 10.0 the "location" permission was for Wi-Fi and cell tower derived location (60m to several km accuracy), "GPS location" is for navigation satellite derived location (potentially 2m accuracy). On 10.1 I believe they have been rolled into one (I don't have my Z10 with me to check at the moment).

    Skype is an Android application, you have to accept Android applications with all their permissions when you install them, or reject them. If you don't like the permissions Skype has you can only uninstall it.
