anyone know what maps will be like on bb10?

it would be nice if they incorporated a google maps into the os or some decent navigation system.

its not a game changer for me but with windows waving nokias drive+ navigation in everyones face i hope rim takes notice.

dev alphas. you guys have a maps app on your device? or will we need to wait and see?

There is no map app from RIM yet, so we have to wait and see what it will be like.

RIM is licensing from TOMTOM for the maps app. It's only going to be 2.5D much like most in-car gps units are right now. Apple is also licensing from TOMTOM except they chose to "try" and make it 3D and everyone knows how awful that turned out haha
As of yet though, even on the Dev Alphas, there is no maps app.

It was described as a "mixture of BB maps and BB Traffic". Not sure what that means...

hopefully it takes the UI from BB maps(with a BB10 twist) and the functionality and reliability from BB traffic and merges it into a super awesome mega BlackBerry Navigation App!!
