There are other Android Apps that some have tired using... APK Permission Remover, one of the File Managers (maybe Ghost).

But generally if an apps ask for permission and you find a way to change it... then the app just fails to work. A lot of trial and error involved, so it's not really much of a solution...

App Ops will let you disable some permissions on installed apps, on BB10 you have to access it through an Android app (one of Cobalt's apps will allow you to IIRC).

The only permission you can disable is running in the background. The rest is impossible without installing another Android app like previous posters said, but this will only screw your apps. Android 4.3 wasn't meant for app permissions.

Download an "app ops" type app (.apk file) and you will get some options like disabling location for your android apps.
