    Good afternoon all

    Maybe double post, maybe not...
    Can someone tell me how version numbers in OS10 work?

    e.g. my device shows: 10.0.10.32

    there's a version 10.0.10.261 available...
    but is this really newer release?

    regards

    Yes. Two hundred and sixty one is bigger than thirty two.

    10.0.10.32 is actually 10.0.10.032 but they removed the '0'

    10.0.10.261 is newer than 10.0.10.(0)32

    I don't think so.
    10.0.10.32 = 10.0.10.261
    Software version and OS version respectively.

    I don't know anything about how OS build numbers work... but technically I would say your thinking is incorrect based on how we typically use numbers after decimals...

    Would you rather have $0.261 (26 cents) or $0.32 (32 cents)

    My input doesn't help OPs question at all, but I wouldn't mind clarification from this poster if he actually knows about this topic or if he has just quickly replied

    Yes I know about this , the other clarification about (0) being implied is correct.

    But you have to compare like for like, os to os or software to software build.

    When you receive an update, it is always newer than the current version you have.

    Some people still have 10.0.9 as latest version because the carrier has to push the updates
