Last week (I kept forgetting to write this post when it happened), there was a problem with Samsung Smart TV's where they couldn't connect to the Internet. Yes, I was suffering as my gf and I wanted to watch some movies on netflix, and the big screen of a TV was preferable to my laptop's screen (the bigger, the better).

So of all the phones in the house, only my Z10 could connect to our tv using the micro HDMI cable. This permitted us to watch all the movies and shows we wanted with very minimal buffering/lag (not as good as the TV, but better than nothing at the time) .

I think this is a great feature to market. If the BlackBerry marketing team - if they have one, as I'm yet to see some marketing - uses this, I think we could convert a few iPhone and Android users here and there.

    Way to go!!!

I'm sure your gf was impressed with your Z10 and your savvy.

For the Passport and newer phones, it looks like they're going away from the micro-hdmi port to the new "slimport" which can take a micro-USB cable AND can double as an hdmi port with the right adaptor. Plus they've moved the port to the bottom edge of the phone, not the left edge.

Sooo... with the newer models, you can't just plug in the micro-hdmi cable straight into the phone. You have to get the slimport adaptor.

I always make comments to my boyfriend about how my little Z10 can support my PS3 Netflix streaming "super HD" flawlessly, while time warner is buffering it's way thru 720p.... if only I were to wake up with 10.3 ready to load, it would be a perfect world... that's what I get for 11 years with TMO but yes BlackBerry always saves the day.

Now that the last leak is official, you should just go ahead and install it. Really, no need to wait for the TMO guys to pull their thumbs out.

I have a HDMI cable attached to a TV at the local bar and whenever someone requests anything at all I can quickly connect my Z10 and entertain or educate!

Same here. Whenever, I want to watch or show something, I can just connect my Z10 to the TV with minimal setup. In order to boot and connect a pc to the TV, it takes about 10 minutes.

Plus, I don't have to pay $50 for an apple lightning to hdmi adapter.
