    Default Annoying Contact List Problem

In my main contact list I rid all of my Facebook/Twitter contacts to just have those whom I actually converse. I have noticed that when I go to, say, compose a new text message and search for a name from that list, the system polls both my contact list AND Facebook/Twitter. I am finding it highly annoying, especially since I have to scroll through 13 people find my wife's name when I want to shoot her a quick message.

Anyone have a work around for this?

Ya I love the integration and all, but we need some tweaks to make it more user friendly. Clearly in most situations we only want the social media information of those we have as our phone contacts.

    Disable fb and twitter contacts

In the phone book swipe down, click settings.

    Now toggle on/off for each.

    Cheers

I had the same issue on my Z10. I solved it by deleting all the contacts associated with Facebook and LinkedIn. Go to the contacts app and in the settings, toggle on the option which shows the respective social network contacts you are trying to get rid of.

Then go back to the contacts app, and swipe left so you can select just the contacts for each social network. Then just delete every contact by holding down and selecting all. No more extraneous contacts! Hope this helps.

But does this keep the social network links for the regular contacts I want on my phone?

If you keep the contacts you want, it should. Just delete the ones you don't want and they won't show up when composing an email, text, etc.

So deleting local Facebook contacts doesn't remove them from your fracebook page?

I'm having trouble keeping track of everything that's sync'd and not sync'd.

No effect on your Facebook account.

This is ridiculous, how are we supposed to delete 700 contacts?

it is ridiculous you have to do this, but it was worth it for me. I hated seeing everyone in my autocomplete list when I composed an email. Faster than waiting for BBry to fix it.

It's faster if you select multiple contacts to delete at one time. Select one contact, hold and swipe to the right side and then "Select More". Once you select all the ones you want to get rid of, select delete. Done!

At first I was deleting each contact one by one until I figured this trick out.

Omg you don't have to delete fcb contact if you want them to not appear in contacts.. just set of from settings and it's done but they will appear on universal search ..
    You have contact for :
    Bbm
    Facebook
    LinkedIn
    Sim contact
    Local contact

And if you linked them together there will be only one contact with all information in one...very good

Send from my BlackBerry 10 device
