Are they ever going to improve the battery usage when running android apps?

Android Runtime is draining my phone battery fast as well. That is why i only keep must have android apps which have no native equivalent

The more they improve the compatability the more the efficiency is going to depend on how efficiently Android and the applications are written. There is not a lot the host OS can do about the efficiency of the guest OS.

The battery usage will begin to improve as everything starts running faster. Faster means they are able to do the same thing as before but in less cpu cycles hence lower power consumption.
