We don't need to upgrade our phone to priv for apps, but people who like android and blackberry together can ,but people like me who love blackberry 10 os and have an issue with the apps download 1 Mobile Market it is really good but some apps might not work but I do recommend it

    Steps for download-

    * go to browser and search 1 Mobile market

*select the one which says android apps etc.

    * download it and install and enjoy android apps on blackberry.

Wish you best of luck :-)

Comment what you think of it.

I have had over 80 different android apps on my OG passport & only less than 3 didn't work... until OTA BlackBerry update 2836/2876 which. Broke the ability to uninstall android apps... BlackBerry fiddled with it until they broke it !! DopeSlap !!

While I wouldn't use 1mobile market as it is rife with shaddy apps, I use the actual Google Play Store - which is as safe as Android can get - and it's pretty good.

Success rate for me is closer to 70% or so, but that can be bumped to 85% when using Cobalt's modified Google Play Services.

I am happy for you conite but if you wouldn't get the correct apk files for the Google play store you could use 1 Mobile Market but anyway I am happy that you are satisfied with cobalt's Google play store. :-)

I use over 60 Android app on my Z10. I agree that they work. But most are very sluggish and prone to errors like "not responding". Android apps are. Not as nicely designed as native BB10 apps, but running on an android emulator makes them that much poorer.

Conite - thanks in advance for reply. I use 1 mobile market but only for major apps like banking app from actual bank. These apps safe?

You should be fine with the big name apps. It's the unknown ones that may be suspect. If I had a nasty flashlight app, that's where I'd try and post it.

I don't trust 1Mobile at all. My opinion only! The WOT score is not great (altho it has improved over the last year or two) : https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/1...viewsc#comment
