If you remove the store, the apps stop working. This is dumb.

Makes sense. I'm sure if you delete the Play Store from an Android phone you wouldn't be able to use a vast majority of the apps you had installed.

Actually, that is dumb. Apps shouldn't need the store to operate.

That's how it is on Android, with some of the Amazon apps. They dial home periodically.

It's not just to dial home

Some developers prefer having a central location to collect in app payments. In this case, the money would be deposited into their amazon account, whereas without the integration they would have to do things manually.

But yea, some just dial home

Amazon dials home by default.. BlackBerry slipping. If the amazon app store is going to be installed by default, then it should respect the core device settings to disable diagnostic reporting.
Amazon has reporting on by default.

Has nothing to do with 10.3, happens on 10.2.1, I don't like it, would rather use snap. Also, I couldn't get a lot of the apps to work, it was actually pretty frustrating, I deleted it.

My 10.3 leak won't allow me to delete the Amazon App store from my Q10. Thoughts?

This has been discussed in another thread. Anyways, you can't remove it, even if you are able to, after a reboot it comes back again. Best thing is once you are able to delete do not initialize it or else it will install and the whole thing begins again.
